Visiting alone? Start with a simple hello
You do not need to arrive with friends. Let a staff member know it is your first visit, or say, “I watched the Asian Games today.” Staff can help with introductions and conversation starters. The people you meet will vary from evening to evening.
A favourite sporting moment or a question about Nagoya can be enough to begin. Enjoy the conversation at a pace that suits you and the people around you. Our solo visitor guide and guide to meeting people have more details in Japanese.

How the coin system works
Buy coins to pay for the cover charge and your orders. The purchase options are:
- ¥3,300 for 8 coins
- ¥6,600 for 17 coins
- ¥11,000 for 28 coins
The cover charge is 2 coins. Regular alcoholic drinks and soft drinks cost 2 coins each. For example, 8 coins cover the 2-coin charge plus three regular drinks at 2 coins each. This is a pay-per-order system.
You do not have to use every coin that evening. Unused coins have no expiry date and can be used on a future visit. Champagne costs 28 coins. Check the menu and prices for individual items.
